SOIL WITH HISTORY

It is obvious that in these truly difficult times faced by ordinary Greeks, the issue of survival makes us forget our roots and history; Things that can give us the courage to look into the future with optimism.
The intention of the producers of the documentary entitled Soil with History is to recall small pieces of our history that have been almost forgotten such as the action of heroes of Central Greece and Epirus before the time of the uprising.
The documentary will comprise of 12 episodes, focusing on the biography of the legendary and unselfish Antonis katsantonis.
Through this biography we will touch on the personality of Ali Pasha, Veligeka, Yusuf Arapi and Agos Mouchourntaris, who were strong enemies of Hellenism during that time. In the course of it, we will get into Messolongi, clim up to Souli, sneak into the palaces of Ioannina but, mainly, climb up the mountaintops of Agrafa and Tzoumerka and then descend river watercourses.
We will trace the steps of Georgios karaiskakis, Markos Botsaris, captain Diplas with the intention of conveying the message that a handful of men, at times of darkness, were able to raise their head up and look at a segment of a blue sky.
These men dreamed of a Greece that was free for us to enjoy.
